Global Village is one of the key highlights of the National Leadership Development Seminar (NLDS), which is the biggest and the most prestigious of AIESEC Singapore’s annual conferences. It is a unique opportunity to experience and appreciate diversity in terms of cultures and traditions all in one venue- Booths will be set up to showcase the cultures of different countries; Stage performances will be conducted at the main stage by the various embassies and schools; and there will also be opportunities for corporate promotion.
The Global Village will be open free of charge to the general public.
Objectives:
1. To enhance understanding and interest of other cultures by providing an authentic opportunity for cross-cultural exchanges via both informative displays and interaction with youths from different countries
2. To emphasize the importance of cultural appreciation and understanding especially in this era of globalization
3. To serve as a platform for people of various backgrounds to interact with one another and to forge new friendships
